Founder’s Story

Hey, I’m Frank Fronapfel, founder of Classy Dyrtbagz—a no-fluff outdoor brand built on real experience, not hype.

I grew up in Brooklyn, where my first glimpse of the wild came from a National Geographic spread on Yellowstone. That spark stuck with me. I hunted, fished, became an Eagle Scout, and eventually headed west—chasing the wild life I’d always dreamed of.

Since 2011, I’ve called the Rockies home—climbing peaks, rafting, hunting, hinking, living in ski towns, and bikepacking off-grid. The gear I design comes straight from that lifestyle—tested, refined, and trusted on the trail.

Classy Dyrtbagz was born after one sketchy night camping in a hammock—coyotes circling, nothing but thin fabric between me and the wild. That was the moment I knew: real adventurers need gear that’s light, secure, and ready for anything.

So here we are. Built for dirtbags. Refined for the classy.
